Description
Pedra do Sal (Rock of Salt) was originally the site of a quilombo village, and today, an association called the Community Descendents of the Quilombos of Pedra do Sal lives there. Historically, it has also been the center of samba and choro music, where great samba musicians such as Pixinguinha and Heitor dos Prazeres performed.
